Christmas is the time for gaming!
For the 6 days that I was at my parents, I surprisingly managed to fit quite abit of gaming into the schedule. I finally put a fairly big dent into Dragon Quest VIII, ran through True Crime: New York City again, and continued to chip away at Mario Kart for the DS. I swear my parents must think I'm crazy with all the games I play but I don't think they realize that I'm actually accomplishing something by playing them! I really am!
If you haven't picked up Dragon Quest VIII yet, I would recommend moving it to the top of your list of "Games I have to check out before I die in a horrible in a fire" list. I'm about 20-something hours into it and I'm truly starting to see what a deep game it is. It's old school, but there's so much shit to see that it's almost overwhelming... in a good way. If you can find a copy, go out and pick it up!
Speaking of not being able to find games. Animal Crossing for the DS has become that one game at Christmas that I simply cannot find. I saw it about a week before Christmas and told myself that I'd pick it up a couple of days before Christmas for some holiday gaming. Do you think I could find it? Nope. It's sold out everywhere! Every single EB! It's messed up, but what makes us want games more when we can't find them? If I was a smart I would put the money towards Meteos which I have yet to play. Yes, you can all spit on me now for never playing Meteos - fuckers.
Overall it was a pretty good Christmas. Lots of good times, and way too much food to eat. I finally got to sit down, relax, and take on several games while dipping into the alcohol. It's kind of funny how Daisy from Mario Kart DS starts to look pretty hot after a couple of Ryes. For any of you that have played the game, there is nothing hotter than a chick that says "Yo!" everytime she tosses a turtle shell your way.
Look out for the brand spanking new Podcast that will be appearing around January 1, 2006. There's going to be alot of changes going down so hopefully you'll all stick around and be just as supportive as you always have been.
